When it comes to blogging, I am a big fan of editorial calendars. I think they’re a great way to stay on track with consistent posting, which is absolutely necessary to the development of a successful blog. Smashing Magazine has a great article on the value of using an editorial calendar and how to set one up, if you want more information on why ECs are so awesome.
There’s actually a plugin for WordPress authors to keep an editorial calendar right in their Dashboard. Editorial Calendar is a freely available plugin that adds a “Calendar” section under “Posts” in your Dashboard. You can add and modify post dates, manage posts from multiple authors, and manage your drafts and unscheduled posts.
It’s really a very simple and convenient way of scheduling your posts and tracking your posting activity so that you can provide a consistent stream of content to your readers.
