Responsive design is a bear, but I love it. [WIP Update]
I just thought I would post a quick update to share what I’m working on. I work part-time for a small church here in Jacksonville, a church that hasn’t had a web site in a very long time. I’ve been there for a long time now, but, until fairly recently, I really didn’t have the tools to give the church a web site of any real quality.
Now, I’m proud to say, I’m nearly done with a single-page, stop-gap site, something that can be online until I can gather the information and content for a full site (a process that is underway but will take time). The page is hand-coded in responsive HTML5 and CSS3 with a fluid grid and some jQuery and my very own php script for the contact form, and I am so unbelievably proud of this one little page that I can barely put it into words.
I love this. I love coding. I love making it work. I love making it better. And I’m dying to show off the finished product, which, I’m guessing, will be online before the week is out.
I can’t wait.
